The organisers of the ‘Journées de l’Économie’ (Economy Days) presented a cheque for a record sum of €16,000 to Jonk Entrepreneuren Luxembourg, raised from equity rights to the event, which took place in late February.

Each year, this total is donated to an organisation geared towards promoting entrepreneurship in Luxembourg. The event, which was organised by the Competitiveness Observatory, the Chamber of Commerce, and Fedil- Business Federation Luxembourg, along with the support of PwC Luxembourg brought together 400 participants. This year’s themes were, chiefly, digital economy as the cornerstone of diversification in Luxembourg, and the challenges facing the Euro Zone.

Stéphanie Damgé, Director, and Charles Denotte, President of Jonk Entrepreneuren were on hand to accept the cheque from the organisers – Serge Allegrezza, Director of the Competitiveness Observatory, François Mousel, Director at PwC Luxembourg, Marc Wagener, Director of Economic Affairs at the Chamber of Commerce, and René Winkin, Secretary General of Fedil- Business Federation Luxembourg - and thanked them for the contribution.

The money received will enable the organisation to strengthen their educational programme, in order to teach young people the value and concrete alternative of becoming an independent and thinking for themselves. Jonk Entrepreneuren aims to give students a taste of taking initiative, innovating and creating.
