Staff from Dupont/ Dupont Teijin Films will witness a salary increase thanks to a new collective agreement.

The new collective agreement for Dupont was signed on Friday 20 January 2017 by the LCGB (Luxembourg Labour Union), the OGBL trade union and the company director following three months of negotiations and 15 different information meetings for staff.

The duration of the agreement has been set for a period of three years, from 1 January 2017 to 31 December 2019.

It encompasses improvements for Dupont staff such as an annual wage increase with a single roll system, a progressive modification of the initial single roll salary, and the maintained principle of gender roles, as well as an increase of relief premiums from €20 to €30 and that of night premiums by 25.5% as of 1 January 2018 and by 26% as of 1 January 2019. Another such modification is how employees can freely choose reimbursement or compensation for supplementary hours in excess of 80 hours.

In light of imminent restructuring and the dismemberment of Dupont Nemours/DTF into three independent companies, along with the planned fusion with Dow Chemicals, the negotiations commission reiterated the importance of finalising the three-year agreement in order to guarantee the previewed advantages by the end of 2019.
