In anticipation of World Milk Day on 1 June, the association for Luxembourg’s dairy professionals, the Lëtzebuerger Verband fir Molkereifachleit a Mëllechwirtschaftler (LVM), presented agriculture minister, Fernand Etgen, with a basket of dairy products, maintaining a 30-year tradition of gift-giving for this occasion.

The presentation coincides with an outreach programme the association makes each year highlighting the quality of regional dairy products in Luxembourg. This year, the focus is on milk processing in relation to which the association has produced a brochure listing all the Luxembourg specialists.

Receiving the presentation, Minister Etgen stressed the importance of Milk Day, which aims to create a collective awareness of the value of our food, while conveying a positive image of agriculture in general and in particular the dairy sector which is one of the sector’s main arms.
