The morning of Friday 13 January 2017 marked the inauguration of a series of family houses on the rue de la Lavande, Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

Last Friday, the inauguration of seven family homes, constructed for the purpose of social housing took place in Kirchberg.

On 23 March 2015, the town council of Luxembourg City approved the construction of seven one-family homes in Kirchberg. These houses have an AB energy class and vary in size between 125m² and 206 m².

The buildings are being built by G+P Muller Architectes in a way that integrates them harmoniously into their environment, since they are in areas which are already urbanised.

The new houses are parallel to the rue de la Lavande and will be identical to one another with the entrance and garage entry facing the street and the living quarters next to the garden and on the upper floors. All of the gardens will have a terrace of maximum 8m² and green spaces.

The buildings will possess outer heat insulation and triple-glazed windows. On the inside, the doors will be white with a stainless-steel trim. Walls will be cement with tiling or paint in more humid rooms, and plaster with paint or wallpaper in the others.

The estimated total cost of the project is around 4,714,962.22 and it should be completed by January 2018.
