The Encevo Group, made up of the energy supplier Enovos and the network operator Creos, reported a successful 2016 today, with a net income of €83.2 million, up €2.6 million in 2015, and EBITDA of €262.3 million - an increase of €29.9 million, 12.9%, on the year before, the group’s best results since its founding.

Notwithstanding a challenging environment, the group attributed the success to attractive and competitive offers, innovative products and services, and motivated and skilled staff. This was accompanied by an ambitious investment policy, a key element of the past year. 

The group invested a total of €196.1 million in 2016, particularly in the networks and the renewable energy sector. For Creos, the investments already made in the extension of the high-voltage network, the deployment of smart meters and the modernisation and renewal of operational sites, will continue in the years to come. For Enovos, the asset base in the field of renewable energies has grown again - mainly through various projects in Luxembourg and Germany - and installed capacity has increased by 15% in 2016, which should generate additional production Of 100 GWh of green energy in 2017, equivalent to the electricity consumption of some 25,000 households. The Encevo Group and its operating entities will keep their innovative approach to current and future challenges. The number of employees in the group was 1,530 in 2016 (1,470 in 2015).
