Three Luxembourg co-productions were included in the list of films slated to receive funding from the Eurimages Fund of the Council of Europe following a Council meeting held last week.

The Fund will support 24 out of the 48 films submitted with a total amount of €5,683,544, including Tel Aviv on Fire by Sameh Zoabi, The Swallows of Kabul by Zabou Breitman and and Eléa Gobbé-Mévellec, and Pachamama by Juan Antin.

Tel Aviv on Fire is a feature film co-produced mainly by Samsa Film of Luxembourg, Israel, France and Belgium, and will receive €185,255. The Swallows of Kabul, an animated feature film co-produced by Melusine Productions in Luxembourg, France and Switzerland, will receive €264,650. Pachamama, another animated feature co-produced by Doghouse Films in Luxembourg, France and Canada, is down for €187,161.The three films had already received selective funding from the Film Fund Luxembourg. 

Eurimages is the Cultural Fund of Europe, comprising 37 of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe, with an annual budget of €25 million. Since its creation in 1988, Eurimages has supported 1,834 European co-productions for a total amount of around €545 million.
