EY Luxembourg has released the latest edition of its financial publication “The Financial Services- Stay Connected?”

EY has published the new edition of its financial newsletter which deals with regulatory developments in the Grand Duchy, particularly regarding the environment, wealth and asset management, banking and insurance industry.

The latest issue highlights Luxembourg’s new alternative investment vehicle, the RAIF, which came into effect on 1 August 2016. This is a new regime for investors looking for greater structuring and operational efficiency for their investments in Luxembourg.

Also included in this issue are sections on the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR)- which came into force in 2013- and its impact on the industry, the Revised Transparency Directive and its effects, and the Single Resolution Mechanism (SRM). Other topics covered include the MiFID II directive, and European securitisation, as well as the impact of the revised Directive in Payment Services (PSD2) on investors, and EU audit reform, as well as wealth management, and the GDPR data protection reform and its risks.
