Asset management expert Benoit Rose has joined CMS Luxembourg as partner, beginning his new task of steering the development of the company’s investment funds practice.
Benoit Rose has over 15 years’ experience in asset management in Luxembourg, France and Switzerland. Prior to joining CMS Luxembourg, he was Head of Legal EMEA for traditional funds & ETFs (UCITS/AIF) for a Swiss bank based in Zürich, after having been Head of Legal for its French Management Company.
In joining CMS, he brings his expertise, which encompasses the full range of fund types (SIF, SICAR, AIF, RAIF, UCITS, UCIs), as well as his sound knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of the different actors in the asset management value chain, the licensing and organisation of management companies (UCITS, AIFM), delegation rules and oversight, operational aspects, and regulatory and distribution matters (e.g. MiFID). Indeed, his main task will be to steer the development of the company’s investment funds practice, which faces increasing demands from its clients.
The arrival of Benoit Rose is in line with the firm’s development strategy, established since its creation in 2011, to strengthen its range of expertise. Today, the team comprises four partners and more than 20 associates, who are able to assist their clients in the 19 practice and sector groups at CMS.
