On 28 June 2017, LuxFLAG held a breakfast seminar at BIL, where it welcomed Georges Sander, Investment Manager of Infra Capital Myanmar and Moussa Seck, Founder of Cohabit'AGE a.s.b.l.

At the seminar, the speakers Georges Sander and Moussa Seck shared two cases of social impact creation: a rice processing project in Myanmar and a local housing initiative in Luxembourg, giving insights on how to develop, finance and drive impact investing projects to success.

Georges Sander shared the case of a Hybrid Rice Seed Center and Community Based Organisation Project under development in Myanmar. The case illustrated how financial and social returns can be achieved in a well-organised risk framework and how to bridge market gaps where green field projects may lack access to private sector financing.

Moreover, Moussa Seck and Virginie Issumo presented the local social entrepreneurship project Habitsol bringing together seniors and refugees through intergenerational housing.

A total of 45 delegates attended the seminar.
