On Thursday, BGL BNP Paribas announced their financial results for 2015 at its headquarters in Luxembourg-Kirchberg.

Following the presentation of its financial results, attention then turned to the progress of the major construction project for which the first stone was laid on 15 October 2013 - see www.chronicle.lu/categoriesbusinessfinancebanking/item/4953-first-stone-laid-in-bnp-paribas-construction-project-in-kirchberg.

Construction at the Kirchberg site, which got under way in March 2013, advanced at a steady pace during 2015. Rigorous management and close cooperation among all parties involved were key factors in the good progress of the project.

There are three buildings in the new, 99,000-m2 Kirchberg Banking Centre: the headquarters of BGL BNP Paribas and two new buildings, one with fourteen floors and the other with six floors. A large majority of BNP Paribas Group personnel in Luxembourg will have their offices at this Centre when completed.

The project is described as an investment in the future.
