On the occasion of its 10th anniversary on 25 June 2015, Open Field independent consulting company brought together clients, partners and friends together at the Amicale des Amis, the former industrial hall in Bonnevoie centre in Luxembourg city.

Open Field was launched ten years ago, with the aim of supporting entrepreneurs and IT managers in the implementation of innovative and  IT projects whilst at the same time remaining independent from infrastructure and software providers. The idea was based on the premise that any sized organisation requires a coherent information system in order to be seen as a long term investment and not an expense.

"Just as we consult specialist doctors for different parts of our body, there are various IT positions that are not to be confused: a software developer will not do web design and will not deal with the purchase of IT infrastructure. We have knowledge and an understanding of the root of all computer occupations and are well positioned to provide comprehensive proposals to meet real business requirements," explained Massimo Russo, CEO of Open Field.

Open Field has demonstrated the potential effectiveness of integrated IT systems through the example of ERPs (Enterprise Resource Planning). ERP is a business project which aims to coordinate the activities of a company around a single information system, and the choice of which therefore represents a strategic decision for companies. The data collected through ERP is then analysed and drawn upon to help improve performance and meet the demands of the clients.

According to a 2014 Aberdeen study of 920 SMEs, ERPs can reduce IT inventory by 20% with an accuracy rate of 97%, whilst simultaneously reducing costs, meaning the ERP is a decision tool that brings real added value if acting as an accurate representative of the company.

For the past decade, Open Field has been offering services to help companies optimise their strategies, improve their performance and reduce technology costs, bringing tailored advice to each client.

Open Field has also announced plans, to celebrate the anniversary, to launch a revised website from autumn 2015, www.openfield.eu
