Deputy PM Meets with Russian Cybersecurity Expert in Continued Digital Efforts

On Friday 27 November 2015, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Economy, Étienne Schneider, held a meeting with Eugène Kaspersky, cybersecurity expert and creator of his namesake company.

Employing nearly 3,000 professionals, the Russian Kaspersky company is a world leader in IT security whose software is used by more than 400 million people and 270,000 companies worldwide.

During the meeting, held at the Ministry of the Economy, Étienne Schneider spoke of efforts made by the Grand Duchy in recent years to position itself as a centre for excellence in the field of data protection and security. As part of the framework of 'Digital Lëtzebuerg', these efforts aim to offer the best conditions for companies in the ICT sector in general and in the field of cyber security in particular.
