A new co-working space for freelancers and startups, The Office, officially opened its doors earlier this month on Boulevard Grand-Duchesse Charlotte, in the heart of Luxembourg City.

Created to provide freelancers, entrepreneurs and start-ups with an alternative to the high-cost office rental market, it offers affordable and flexible month-to-month options ranging from part-time hot desks to full-time private offices.

People are now working in different ways, taking up freelance jobs or starting their own exciting projects. They want to stay independent, with a work schedule that fits around their personal lives and interests. The Office was created to provide inspiration and enable people to make connections, while being flexible enough to meet their working needs,” explained Gosia Kramer, founder of The Office.

The co-working space already counts a wide variety of professionals among its members, from IT specialists to architects and fashion designers. Among its first residents is Governance.io, voted Luxembourg’s Fintech Startup of the Year. “We needed our own office but wanted to keep the spirit of co-working, which can bring new inspiration and sometimes even new business partners. The Office is the perfect mix of both, set in an inspiring location that reminds us daily that we are doing things differently," said Bert Boerman, CEO of Governance.io/2Gears S.A.

In addition to providing a friendly and welcoming place to work, The Office also features a regular calendar of events, from networking meet-ups to workshops on topics such as starting up and the latest business trends. The next event, on 5 December 2016, will be a SmartMoney demo of a blockchain-based e-money system in collaboration with Hiero a.s.b.l.

About The Office: The Office is a coworking space designed to enable people to make connections, share ideas and collaborate.
