On 27 and 28 February 2017, the Luxembourg Prime Minister, Xavier Bettel, attended the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

Earlier this week, Xavier Bettel represented Luxembourg at the MWC, the most important gathering for the mobile industry, bringing together the biggest figures in the ICT sector.

During his visit, Prime Minister Bettel met with several key figures in the sector and discussed development, innovation and new trends.

As well as attending the congress, Xavier Bettel and Ninian Wilson, the CEO of Vodafone Procurement Company, launched the Tomorrow Street Innovation Centre. This joint venture by Vodafone and Technoport will open its doors in summer 2017 at Vodafone Kirchberg.

Tomorrow Street will be managed by Vodafone and will welcome emerging technological businesses with the aim of developing and globalising their activities. The structure will house around ten businesses and will create about 100 jobs.

The venture forms part of the Digital Letzebuerg strategy, which involves collaborating with the private sector.
