A new multi-year deal signed between SES S.A. and Inter Media Group and announced today will see eight channels transmitted over Europe via ASTRA 4A.
In addition to its two leading channels, Inter and NTN, six additional channels of Inter Media Group, Ukraine's largest media group, will be distributed on ASTRA 4A within the new capacity agreements.
SES, which is based in Luxembourg, managed to achieve a record number of 7,268 TV channels broadcast over the global satellite fleet at the end of 2015 following a 11.3% channel growth in the last 12 months. SES has partly attributed this to its video business and growth in emerging markets across the Central and eastern European region.
