SES Techcom Services, a subsidiary of satellite operate SES, today announced a partnership with ICT solution subsidiary of POST Luxembourg, POST Telecom, through which the companies will develop cloud-based ICT solutions for the international market.

The two companies have joined forces to combine the converged solutions, including server virtualisation and online storage, of POST Telecom, with the cutting-edge engineering services, comprising broadband connectivity, satellite infrastructure and network and e-platforms operations of SES Techcom Services.

"The partnership with POST Telecom is particularly exciting as it enables the two organisations to jointly develop and commercialise satellite- and cloud-based communication services," explained Gerhard Bethscheider, Managing Director of SES Techcom Services. "This will be especially important for serving customer requirements as the telecom industry develops in the future. We look forward to working closely together with our partner in realising the great potential this agreement represents."

POST Telecom's Managing Director, Jean-Marie Spaus, continued: "We are pleased to have signed this Memorandum of Understanding with SES Techcom Services and are confident the partnership will be of great benefit to both companies."

The news followed the announcement from POST Telecom's umbrella organisation POST Luxembourg Group yesterday that developments and changes had been made to the postal service. POST Luxembourg has been active since 1842 and is one of the largest employers in Luxembourg, with over 4,000 staff members.
