Following the Government Cabinet meeting on Wednesday 18 November 2015, POST Luxembourg today announced it will be ending the anonymity of its mobile prepaid cards (TIPTOP).
The decision was declared as valid with short notice for the acquisition of all new mobile prepaid cards, with an identity card now required for acquiring a new mobile prepaid card.
POST Luxembourg further reported that users of existing mobile prepaid cards will soon be informed about the process to identify themselves. Meanwhile, existing cards will reportedly function as normal and do not require any intervention of their users.
