The number of lines at Orange Luxembourg is on the rise, having increased by more than 20%, as well as having experienced a 0.1% increase in its revenues in the first semester of 2017.

The company Orange Luxembourg has continued its growth this past year and has attributed its success to its complete LOVE offers, including TV, fibre, fixed line and a mobile package adapted to the clients' needs, as well as the extension of its 4G / 4G + network with 7 sites, 67 antennas and 10 additional underground parking spaces in the first half, and to maintaining prices for its mobile offers.

The telecommunications market in Luxembourg remained highly competitive. The period was marked by the introduction of "Roam Like At Home" following the European regulation on roaming and the end of anonymous prepaid cards.

Orange Luxembourg has not increased the prices of mobile plans despite the loss of revenue linked to roaming regulation. The turnover in very slight growth, less significant than the growth of the number of customers, reflects this decision. Orange has implemented the "Roam Like At Home" as of May 2017 without the clients having any special steps to make. The drastic drop in the prepaid market in Luxembourg this year was partially offset by the increase in post-paid customers.

Nevertheless, two main reasons support this growth: firstly, the presence of a high quality mobile network, adapted to new uses and in particular downloads of larger files; secondly, sustained investments to increase coverage of the population: 99.2% of the population benefits from 3G / H +, 96.1% from 4G and 82.5% from 4G + in Luxembourg. The LOVE “multiplay” offer has also contributed to this growth,

All in all, revenues for the company amounted to €30.6 million at the end of the first half of 2017, representing a very slight 0.1% increase compared to the same period in 2016.
