Carlos Cipollitti was yesterday announced as the new General Director of the Goodyear Innovation Centre in Luxembourg.

Having joined Goodyear in 1984, Carlos Cipollitti has held a variety of technical and managerial roles in Latin America, North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. His professional experience prior to his new position with the company has included  Project Manager Radial Truck Tire Development in Akron, Ohio, USA and Manager Quality and Manufacturing Services Asia Pacific, based in Luxembourg. In his capacity as regional Director Technology Quality and Product Development, Cipollitti was instrumental in the start-up of Goodyear's new manufacturing plant for consumer and truck tyres in Pulandian, China.

Originally American, Cipollitti grew up in Venezuela and obtained his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Simón Bolívar University in Caracas, Venezuela and an MBA in Management from Walsh University in Ohio.

Cipollitti will replace Jean-Pierre Jeusette in his role, who has been appointed to the position of Vice President Product Quality and Plant Technology, based in Goodyear's Innovation Centre in Akron.
