This March Belgian civil and maritime construction company will launch the Daniel Bernoulli from the AVIC shipyards in Weihai China. 

The 6,200 tonne multi-purpose vessel that can reach speeds of 11.5 knots is a sister to the the Adhémar de Saint-Venant, and both are equipped with tools that allow them to perform a variety of functions, including underwater dredging and installation of cables  and umbilicals.

The vessels are equipped with a dynamic positioning system (DP2), a diesel-electric 2 x 1,250 kw by  propulsion system, accommodation for 60 people and an SPS rating. The Adhémar de Saint-Venant has a class notation ‘STRENGTHBOTTOM'.
