A partnership signed on Thursday 7 January 2016 between Luxembourg startup MyScienceWork and the the Jonk Fuerscher Lëtzebuerg (FJSL) foundation will see a Polaris platform set up as a means of enhancing scientific visibility and promoting research.

MyScienceWork was launched in Luxembourg in 2012, with its CEO & Founder, Virginie Simon, reaching second place at the 7th Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg (CYEL) Awards a year later. The startup has been present since 2014 in Silicon Valley in San Francisco, where Simon and co-founder Tristan Davaille were visited by Xavier Bettel in February 2015 as part of the Luxembourg Prime Minister's meeting with entrepreneurs, financiers and students.

The next step in the startup's trajectory will be to provide a central place where young scientists from around the world can feature their work through the establishment of the Polaris platform.

"We are really proud to be able to help Jonk Fuerscher Lëtzebuerg," commented Virgine Simon, Ph.D. "Polaris will provide a unique platform to centralise all the publications and essays written by researchers. It will enhance the general attractiveness and influence of the Foundation and help in the promotion of the 'Young Scientists Contests'."

MyScienceWork also recently joined the national BioHealth Cluster, led by Luxinnovation, which includes public research centres, laboratories, hospitals and other organisations.

"Based on our laters developments and our growing activities, we are constantly looking for new talents to join the team," continued Virginie. "We have recently hired a senior IT developer and a R&D Director for the Luxembourg office. We are now a team of 15 people located in Luxembourg, Paris and Silicon Valley. It is important for us to have these 3 major spots from which we can reach some major influencers and players."

Other changes made recently have included a redesigning of the website www.mysciencework.com and a new search-engine, 'OmniScience' popular science outlet and new Polaris design will aim to make research even more accessible.
