On Monday afternoon Le Freeport Luxembourg held a press conference following its Annual General Meeting at which it confirmed its new board of the management company of the Freeport (as different from the operating company).

With Robbert Goebbels as President, David Arendt continues in his role as CEO for his work on a daily basis. They are joined by Yves Bouvier, Alphonse Berns, Philippe Dauvergne (newly elected) and Olivier Thomas, the last three of whom are independent Luxembourgish representatives.

David Arendt talked about links with art galleries, supporting the art business, and stressed the transparency of the operation which will not tolerate any handling of stolen art or money-laundering, as all works of art are examined scrupulously upon entry to Le Freeport.

On the issue of shareholders and legal cases, Robert Goebbels stated that Yves Bouvier (who owns shares in freeport operations in Singapore and Geneva) remains a shareholder and member of the board of the management company.
