Cargolux yesterday passed its fourth IOSA renewal audit, which took five days to complete and a team of 20 people.

The IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme is internationally recognised and accepted, designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an airline. 20 people from all divisions involved worked for around three months in preparation for the audit, which was conducted by five auditors and concerned around 850 different standards. Cargolux received exceptionally good results.

As a member of International Air Transport Association (IATA), Cargolux, along with any other IATA airline, has to pass an initial IOSA audit and subsequent renewal audits every two years. This is carried out to consistently reaffirm aviation safety and is recognised by insurers and a number of aviation authorities, including the FAA, internationally.

"This fantastic result is due to the great work that everyone in Cargolux has put into this IOSA, even during some very stressful moments," Graham Hurst, Cargolux V.P. Quality & Compliance Monitoring, said of the news. "The Quality & Compliance Monitoring staff, the CV IOSA coordinators, the Divisional IOSA representatives, and all our people who alse prepared the meeting rooms and preparations for every changing logistics, and all who were audited or contributed to the preparation before and during the audit. They all gave their all! Thank you for your persistence and dedication in making this fantastic result possible".
