Wizz Air has announced that its passenger numbers using Frankfurt-Hahn airport has doubled over the past two years to over 200,000.
This is one of the factors that has seen overall passenger numbers using Frankfurt-Hahn airport increase by 9% this year, over 2014 when 2.4 million passengers used the airport over the 12 months. 2.6 million passengers are expected to use the airport this year, making Frankfurt-Hahn one of the largest regional airports in Germany.
Wizz Air currently flies to 9 destinations from Frankfurt-Hahn airport: Budapest, Sofia, Gdansk, Katowice, Skopje, Timisoara, Vilnius, Tuzla and Tirgu Mures.
