Ryanair has announced that it will start operating a passenger flight service to a new destination next autumn: Eilat in Israel, from Frankfurt-Hahn.

Ryanair's current winter flight schedule to and from FrankfurthHahn airport is still valid, but plans are already being put in place for the coming winter. The Israeli seaside resort Eilat will be accessible from FrankfurtHahn, with flights soon being available on the Ryanair website. The Ovda airport is located north of Eilat; passengers can easily reach Eilat, the capital city of Jerusalem or the metropolis of Tel Aviv.

"We are very pleased with the announcement and this positive signal," said Airport Director Markus Bunk. Only recently, the airport had signed a new five-year contract with Ryanair. "With this, we have reaffirmed the long-term good co-operation and further expanded," emphasised Bunk. This is already evident in the current summer schedule, in which Ryanair offers 43 destinations all over Europe - three more than last summer. This trend will continue throughout the year. "I am confident that we will again have many attractive targets in the coming winter," said Bunk.

The Israeli seaside town of Eilat is located in the south of Israel directly on the Red Sea. In winter, holidaymakers can explore nature, swim with dolphins or take the resort as a starting point to discover the rich culture of the country.   In the upcoming winter season, Israel will be just one of some 40 destinations offered by Ryanair, Wizz Air and Flycar, from FrankfurtHahn. Regarding the summer flight schedule from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, from 1 April 2017, the airport will have a total of 53 destinations in Europe and North Africa, including Rome, Mallorca, Lisbon and Budapest.

Last year Frankfurt-Hahn Airport transported 2.6 million passengers.
