As part of its ongoing safety and training commitments, Luxair Luxembourg Airlines has acquired a flight simulator for cabin crew and pilot emergency evacuation training.

Adapted to Luxair aircraft specifications, the simulator, which is available for hire by other airlines, will be used for initial and recurrent practical training courses by flight crew on various exercises, such as door training, fire exercises, on-board service, first aid, and management of unruly passengers.

Measuring 14.2 metres long, 3.76 metres wide and 2.65 metres high, the simulator represents a Boeing 737 600 Next Generation cockpit and fuselage.

The simulator was received last December, and inaugurated at the Cargolux Training Academy on Tuesday this week following completion of installation.
