LeasePlan Luxembourg revealed its new visual identity, strategies and ambitions for the Luxembourg market to almost 200 guests at Arendt House earlier this month, including “The Power of One LeasePlan”, and integration with other markets, especially Belgium.

Part of the new strategy involves expanding LeasePlan’s role in the evolving mobility market. While traditional models linked to the corporate, SME and international markets still hold, LeasePlan is also planning to develop into the newer segments with private leasing, ride hailing and car sharing. In keeping with that innovative trend, the roll-out of zero-emission vehicles and electric vehicles is also a priority says the company.

Integrating lessons learned from all of the markets in which it operates, LeasePlan also aims to link the Luxembourg and Belgium markets under a Belux cluster, while keeping their legal identities distinct. Thus, sales and front office operational services will be kept in Luxembourg, with support from Belux management, covering operations in both countries.

A new management team has been put in place for these two markets, including Laurent Gouverneur, sales manager for Luxembourg, and Olivier Kormann, manager for transformation, as well as several executives, Christine Ochs, account management, Ludivine Vagnon, customer & driver care, Briac de Bussac, finance and Serge Cathenis, procurement.

Johan Portier, now responsible for the Belgium and Luxembourg markets, thanked and congratulated his teams for the work done over the past few months. “We want to continue to serve our customers with a totally local approach suited to the particularities of the Luxembourg market.  We also want to maintain and strengthen cooperation with our local partners,” Johan Portier stressed.

According to the company, the synergies with Belgium generate numerous advantages, such as economies of scale, expertise and experience of a structure that manages more than 50,000 vehicles, the possibility of joint investments, efficiency gains by automating manual processes and so on.

“Admittedly we still have some work to do and some adjustments to make, but equally it has to be said that these past few months have been rich in positive developments. It’s a whole new chapter of our history that we’re writing. These adaptations will allow us to deliver more services and to gain in competitiveness. We’re also going to be able to invest massively in digital, which is essential if we are to respond to our customers’ current and future needs,” said Laurent Gouverneur , sales manager for LeasePlan Luxembourg.
