Yesterday, Luxembourg’s minister of sustainable development and infrastructure, Francois Bausch, attended Transport Logistic in Munich, a global four-day get-together for the transport and logistics industry that fielded more than 2,000 exhibitors from 120 countries, and welcomed some 55,000 visitors.

The minister had the opportunity to meet Luxembourg air transport logistics operators as well as an interview with Emirates Airlines officials.

He also met with railway, road, port and related logistics operators, in particular CFL cargo and CFL multimodal.

Minister Bausch also attended the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding between Emirates SkyCargo and Cargolux for a strategic partnership that is a world first in the field of air cargo transportation. The agreement will allow close cooperation between the two companies, in particular in the sense of the complementarity of their fleets, their roads and the handling of goods.

"I am very pleased with this collaboration which will enable Cargolux to diversify and develop its activities. It fits perfectly into the policy of specialisation in the various transported products pursued by the transport and logistics players in Luxembourg under the impetus of the government,” said the minister.
