Following last year's record 3.02 million passengers passing through Lux-Airport, representing a 12.4% increase in passenger numbers, similar growth is forseen for 2017.

On Wednesday, Johan Vanneste, Lux-Airport's CEO, told The Luxembourg Chronicle that passenger numbers have risen by 15% on average each month for the first five months of 2017, and growth is forecast to remain at that level throughout the year, with the target of 3.5 million passengers for the year.

The capacity for the current passenger terminal is around 3 million passengers annually; with the new Passenger Terminal B in operation, this should support an additional 2 million passengers annually, up to 4 million.
