The eleventh aircraft of Luxair Luxembourg Airlines' Bombardier Q400 fleet landed at Lux-Airport in Findel, on Thursday.

Ordered in December 2016 from Canadian manufacturer Bombardier Commercial Aircraft, the new Bombardier Q400 NextGen of the Luxair Luxembourg Airlines fleet, registered LX-LQJ, left Toronto on Wednesday 2 August 2017 at 15:12 (UTC). It made two stops in Goose Bay, Canada and Reykjavik, Iceland before it landed in Luxembourg on Thursday 3 August 2017 at 18:05 (UTC). Pending its commissioning in September (initially foreseen for October), the latest adaptations to Luxair standards will be carried out by LuxairTechnics staff here in Luxembourg.

Thanks to this additional aircraft in its fleet and consequently increased capacities, Luxair is expanding its commercial offering by optimising its flight frequencies and offering its customers a more complete and elaborate service.

Thus, an evening flight to Dublin (Monday and Friday) will be offered from 18 September 2017 and 3 weekly flights to Venice (Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays) in the winter season, as well as 3 daily flights to Copenhagen, will be available from 30 October 2017.

The Luxair fleet now totals 11 Bombardier Q400, 2 Boeing 737-700 and 4 Boeing 737-800.
