As part of a collaboration between the Musée National d'Histoire et d'Art (MNHA) and engraving workshop 'Empreinte', a new project will be displayed to showcase the work of workshop members and Luxembourg artists.

The display will be available to view until the end of July and features pieces created by engraving artists Anneke Walch, Christiane Koch and Danielle Grobusch. All three use various techniques, with Koch having obtained a degree in architecture at the School of Fine Arts in Vienne; Walch employing soft etching techniques and woodcutting; and Grobusch specialising in prints and illustrations.

A portfolio and a drawer display will also give the visitor a broader view on not just the artists being honoured, but also the work of other members of 'Empreinte'. The sample works will represent a wide variety of techniques, such as: drypoint; aquatint; etching; soft varnish; Hayter techniques; monotype; embossing; engraving; woodcutting; and carborundum printmaking.

The 'Empreinte' engraving workshop was created in 1994 by thirteen engravers who wished to develop an association within which to experiment, exchange and desseminate this art form, with the workshop now representing over forty affiliated artists.
