Wildgen, Partners in Law, in collaboration with the Setareh Gallery in Düsseldorf, has announced that they are hosting the ZERO INTERNATIONAL exhibition, gathering renowned artists from the ZERO art movement initiated in Germany: Bernard Aubertin, Alberto Biasi, Walter Leblanc, Arik Levy, Adolf Luther, Heinz Mack, Piero Manzoni, Otto Piene,Robert Rotar, Günther Uecker.

The ZERO history goes back to the 1957 in Düsseldorf (Germany) to spread the art movement through the world throughout the 1960s. The artists of the ZERO group were also the forerunners of some art practices such as Land art, Minimalism, and Conceptual art and aimed to redefine the history of art. They influenced and provided inspiration for numerous contemporary artists.

This exhibition has been seen by thousands of people all around the world and was exhibited in the Guggenheim Museum of New York from 10 October 2014 to 7 January 2015.
 
ABOUT THE ARTISTS
 
Until 31 July, take the chance to discover 10 artists which shaped the ZERO international art movement:

• Bernard Aubertin is a French artist born in 1934. He joined the ZERO group in 1961.
• Alberto Biasi was born in 1937 in Italy. He is considered as a pioneer of Kinetic Art.
• Walter Leblanc was a belgian painter and fouding member of the G 58 art group. He was the most representative artist of the kinetic and optical art.
• Arik Levy. Born in Tel Aviv, he is an artist and industrial designer. His main work (RockGrowth 808) is owned by the Atomium in Brussels.
• Adolf Luther, born in Krefeld (Germany) in 1912, was one of the principal agents of kinetic and optical art.  
• Heinz Mack is a German artist. In 1957, he founded the ZERO group with Otto Piene. He is renowned for his contributions to op art, light art and kinetic art
• Piero Manzoni was a Italian artist recognised for his ironic approach to the avant-garde art. He was pioneer of the Arte Povera (Italian art movement) and conceptual art.
• Otto Piene was a German painter and co-founder of the ZERO group with Heinz Mack. In 2003 he was awarded by the Leonardo da Vinci World Award of Arts.
• Robert Rotar was a German visual artist. The swirls defined the unmistakeable work of the painter throughout his entire life.
• Günther Uecker, is a German sculptor, kinetic artist, and set designer.He joined the ZERO group in 1961.Uecker is renowned for inserting nails into his works.
