Luxembourg's Ministry of Culture has announced that the selection committee of the Jeux de la Francophonie has nominated three Luxembourg artists to participate in the cultural competitions of the forthcoming Jeux de la Francophonie to be held in Abidjan (Ivory Coast) from 21 to 30 July 2017.

The selected Luxembourg artists are:

• Serge Ecker (sculpture / installation)

• Jeff Schinker (New Literature)

• Neckel Scholtus (photography)

The Jeux de la Francophonie are held every four years. After Morocco in 1989, France in 1994, Madagascar in 1997, Canada in 2001, Niger in 2005, Lebanon in 2009 and France in 2013, The Ivory Coast will host the 8th edition Of the Games of La Francophonie.

Held under the signs of solidarity, diversity and excellence, this sporting, cultural and creative event brings together more than 3,000 artists and athletes from countries with a shared French language.
