From Tuesday 27 June until the end of August 2017, Place Guillaume II will host two exhibitions in the context of the Tour de France, which will pass through the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg next Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 July 2017.

The first exhibition is devoted to the work of British artist James Straffon who created a link with Luxembourg in his works representing 12 legends of the Tour de France - notably Charly Gaul and Tom Simpson - and other riders of the famous cycling race. Other works by the artist, complementary to those displayed around the trees of Place Guillaume II, are visible on different facades in town as well as along the route of the Tour de France in Luxembourg and the residence of the British Ambassador in Luxembourg, the origin of the project.

The second exhibition shows a series of photos taken by cyclists and bike enthusiasts in Luxembourg, introduced as part of the #LetzGoCycling competition organised by the Inspiring Luxembourg committee in advance of the Tour de France coming to Luxembourg. This exhibition is the result of an invitation to the general public to discover the beauties of the country by bike and, at the same time, to bear witness to this love of Luxembourg for cycling.
