Luxembourg-based Iris Productions has announced that their new film ”Les Survivants” directed by Luc Jabon will be released on Wednesday 7 September 2016 in Brussels (Vendome), Liège (Churchill), Mons (Plaza Art) with each screening being attended by the director and actors.

In the lead roles are Fabrizio Rongione and Erika Sainte. The fil is in French, and the shooting involved four weeks in Luxembourg with one week of the shooting in Belgium.

Synopsis: Nicolas gets out of prison after 18 years of detention. In his youth, he was part of a revolutionary splinter group. To change the world, he thought he had to end violence. During one of their actions, Nicolas served as a driver when a policeman died accidentally. On leaving prison, he sincerely wants to reintegrate by finding a job and becoming independent. He commits to a life together with Nadia, an unpredictable woman with whom he falls in love. Nicolas then faces the current youth protest and his old friends, as he lives in a squat. He is also immersed in today's society and injustices and inequalities. Torn between his desire of ordinary life and his old ideals, can he resist the temptation that is offered to replay the scene that sent him to prison?
