The Luxembourg Utopolis cinemas of Kirchberg and Belval are set to be rebranded under Kinepolis next month.

As of 5 April 2017, almost a year and a half after the acquisition of the activities of the Luxembourg company Utopolis by the Kinepolis Group, the Belval and Kirchberg cinemas will migrate to the Kinepolis Group software system for all customer transactions.

There will be several other changes, such as the replacement of the website www.utopolis.lu by www.kinepolisluxembourg.lu, and the introduction of subscription cards 'Movie Card' and 'Family Card'.

In the first phase of this transition, automatic cash registers will be installed in both Kirchberg and Belval, along with the replacement of Kinepolis Kirchberg's armchairs and carpets and the introduction of the Kinepolis Cozy Seating and Laser ULTRA concepts.

Kinepolis combines the best laser projection to date with an immersive Dolby Atmos sound system to create an even more intense cinematic experience combining the best picture and sound quality.

The trade names Utopolis Kirchberg and Utopolis Belval will be replaced by Kinepolis Kirchberg and Kinepolis Belval and they will feature the Kinepolis logo. The name of Ciné Utopia remains unchanged.

It is projected that major renovation on the Kirchberg complex will get underway from the beginning of next year.
