Belarusian Svetlana Alexievitch has recently received the 2015 Nobel Prize for Literature in Stockholm.

The Luxembourg filmmaker Pol Cruchten has just completed the adaptation of her work, the masterpiece LA SUPPLICATION (THE SUPPLICATION) about the Chernobyl disaster - 2016 will see its 30th anniversary.

Produced by Red Lion, the 90 minute docu-drama has the support of Film Fund Luxembourg and the austrian Film Institute, and will hit cinemas in the first half 2016. The film was shot in 2014 in the ghost town of Chernobyl while the country was preoccupied in fighting russia over Criema, to the south of Ukraine.

The Supplication gives back to Chernobyl victims a face and a voice, following the violence of the revolution and previously the nuclear disaster.
