The Selection Committee of the Film Fund Luxembourg met on Tuesday and Wednesday this week to take decisions on applications for funding.
The Selection Committee consists of Jean-Louis Scheffen (Chairman), Guy Daleiden, Boyd van Hoeij, Karin Schockweiler, Rachel Schmid and Sébastien Tasch (committee secretary).
The selection committee analysed 13 projects for a total amount of aid requested of €7,663,516; financial assistance was agreed for a total amount of €3,580,028 to the 8 following new audiovisual projects:
Selective financial assistance to the writing and/or development for a total amount of €240,000
• Icarus, €120,000; animated feature film, author: Carlo Vogele & Isabelle Andrivet. Production - Iris Productions.
• Wil & Wâtie, €60,000; fiction feature film, writer-director Stéphane XHROUET. Production - Red Lion.
• Les vacances d’un Sérial Killer, €30,000; fiction feature film, writer-director Nadine Monfils. Production - Red Lion.
• Les grands Bois, €30,000; feature-length fiction, writers Justine Malle & Jérôme Ferrari. Production - Amour Fou.
Selective financial assistance to production for a total amount of €3,335,208
• Rusty Boys, €1,950,000; fiction feature film, director Andy Bausch. Production - Paul Thiltges Distributions.
• Raqs, €1,155,000; fiction feature film, director Yilmaz Arslan. Production - Tarantula Luxembourg.
• Dem Mich seng Kichen, €120,000; fiction short film, writer-director Diana Nilles. Production - Tarantula Luxembourg.
• Black Sheep, €115,028; short fiction film, director Jérôme Weber. Production - Equinox Productions.
The next session of the selection committee is tentatively scheduled for 3 - 4 February 2016.
