The Selection Committee of Film Fund Luxembourg met on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week to take decisions on applications for funding.

The Selection Committee consists of Jean-Louis Scheffen (Chairman), Guy Daleiden, Boyd van Hoeij, Karin Schockweiler, Rachel Schmid and Sébastien Tasch (committee secretary).

The selection committee analysed 22 projects for a total amount of aid requested of €18,650,760; financial assistance was agreed for a total amount of €9,191,488 to the 13 following new audiovisual projects:

Selective financial assistance to the writing and/or development for a total amount of €270,000

• Justice Dot Net, €60,000; feature-lengthen fiction film, author: Thom Richardson. Director: Pol Cruchten. Production - Iris Productions.

• Bloody Mary, €30,000; feature-length fiction film, writer-director Heidi Greensmith. Production - Deal Productions.

• Bayala, €30,000; fiction-length fiction film, author: Vanessa Walder. Director: Federico Milella. Production - La Fabrique d'Images.

• 18, €60,000; docu-fiction series, writers: Camille Ahlgren, Frédéric Goupil, Jan Peter Gunnar Dedio. Production - Iris Productions.

• Sawah, € 30,000; feature-length fiction, authors: Adolf El Assal and Sirvan Marogy, director Adolf El Assal. Production - Wady Films

• Fan Club, € 60,000; experimental virtual reality project, writer-director Vincent Ravalec Production - a-Bahn

• Gutland, €1,993,488; feature-length fiction film, writer-director Govinda Van Maele. Production - Les Films Fauves.

• Dead Noon, €2,950,000; feature-length fiction film, writer-director Jeff Desom. Production - Samsa Film.

• The Ranger, €1,700,000; feature-length fiction film, writer-director Lance Daly. Production - Samsa Film.

• Angelo, €1,800,000; feature-length fiction film, writer-director Mrkus Schleinzer. Production - Amour Fou Luxembourg.

• The Family who Hid in the Cellar, €120.000 € ; short fiction film, writer-director : Ayshea Halliwell. Production – Red Lion

• Arène, €120.000; short fiction film, writer-directors: Loïc Tanson & Thierry Besseling. Production – Juliette Films

• Next, €208.000; experimental virtual reality film, writer-director: Olivier Pesch. Production – Samsa Film

 

The next session of the selection committee is tentatively scheduled for 26 and 27 April 2016.
