On Wednesday, the Fonds national de soutien à la production audiovisuelle held a press conference at the Casino Luxembourg Contemporary Art Forum to announce details of its 2015 report of activities.

The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Michèle Bram, and the director of Film Fund Luxembourg Guy Daleiden, presented the balance sheet for the 2015 which they described as a year of constant development.

58 projects received selective financial assistance totaling €35,740,235. 27 projects received (pre-production) assistance with writing and/or development (€1,060,000) and 31 projects obtained production aid (€34,680,235).

The Fund also granted promotional grants amounting to €243,429 and various subsidies to the sector amounting to €199,166.

As part of its promotional mission, the Film Fund has established a presence in various industry markets (Berlin, Cannes, Annecy, La Rochelle, Toronto ...) and international forums (Cartoon, EPC2 ...). It also traveled internationally, to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the 2nd European Film Screenings as part of the Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Fund continues to support various European initiatives such as the EAVE (Producer Training Programme established in Luxembourg since 2005) and Eurimages (Pan-European Fund established at Council of Europe level).

In the framework of the partnership with RTL Télé Lëtzebuerg, 24 episodes of the documentary series "routwäissgro", produced by 13 independent Luxembourg authors-directors grouped under the name "Kollektiv 13" and produced by Calach Films, were broadcast on the Luxembourg television channel. The first season of "Tirlitivi - Planet Kids" was released in October.

The meetings of the Luxembourg cinema industry were held as planned in November. They brought together circa one hundred film professionals and audiovisual representatives who decided on the scope of the sector and prepared measures to prepare for its future development.

In December, the Fund celebrated its 25th anniversary with an academic session at the Utopolis in the presence of Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke Henri and the Grand Duchess Maria Teresa, as well as government ministers.
