As part of the 8th annual Pop(corn) Culture series of film screenings, the University of Luxembourg and Utopolis Belval will be screening the film 'Catch Me if You Can' at 18:30 on Monday 2 May 2016.

Released in 2002, Steven Spielberg's 'Catch Me if You Can' is based on the true story of Frank Abagnale (played by Leonardo DiCaprio), a veritable conman who at various points pretended to by a Pan American World Airways pilot, a Georgia doctor and a Louisiana parish prosecutor. His numerous instances of cheque fraud led him to be consulted by the FBI for help in catching others performing similar crimes.

The film screening will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Dr. Gerd Hurm, professor of American literature and culture at the University of Trier and director of the Trier Centre for American Studies.

The event will take place at Utopolis Belval, 7 Avenue du Rock'n'Roll, 4361 Esch-sur-Alzette.
