Konrad Comedy Club is giving fans a chance to see Australian stand-up comic Sarah Kendall perform her upcoming Edinburgh show, without the hassle of getting to the Scottish capital and fighting through the festival crowds.

Kendall will perform for one night only at Bar National (TNL, 194 route de Longwy, Luxembourg-Merl), on Wednesday 29 June 2016: doors open at 20:00 and the show statrs at 21:00. The change of venue from Konrad Café and Bar will give more comedy fans the opportunity to catch this one-off show.

Kendall grew up in Newcastle, New South Wales. She has been performing stand-up since 1998 and moved to London some 16 years ago. Since then she has been a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, even gaining a prestigious Perrier award nomination in 2004 and an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination in 2015. The Standard described that “strikingly original” 2015 show as boasting “both laughs and emotional heft” and praising Kendall as a “skilful raconteur.”

She will preview a brand new hour of storytelling. “Shaken” is set in a small, sleepy town in Australia. It’s a story about a teenage girl (who may or may not be very heavily based on Sarah) who one day tells a massive lie, just for the hell of it. As the lie gains momentum, the teenage girl becomes a local celebrity. But it all starts to backfire when it leads to the arrest of a local man….

Tickets cost €16 and are available from www.comedy.lu
