On Saturday 19 December 2015, the Rockhal Club will be hosting a performance, combining dance, music and video, of children from the Fondation Kannerschlass programme.

The 'Steps & Beats' show is the fruit of a close collaboration since the start of the year between the Rockhal and the 'Ecouter pour Mieux s'Entendre' foundation (Fondation EME) which aims to bring joy through music to those who are unable to attend cultural events in Luxembourg. The idea of the show was borne from a willingness on the part of both institutions to consolidate their areas of action and expertise to enable children with behavioural disorders to access the joys of artistic and musical expression.

On the premise that music and dance allow for a mutually respectful meeting of others, the organisers called on music teachers such as Patrick Morbach (aka Brave), the alternative music school BAMSS, as well as artists such as dancer, choreographer and video artist, Jill Crovisier, and Luxembourgish electronic music producer, Victor Ferreira, better known by the name Sun Glitters.

Ten multidisciplinary workshops, combining musical and dance discovery, were subsequently held at the Rocklab. In the first phase, the children met Patrick Morbach for musical exploration workshops, the sound recordings captured at which were later reworked by Victor Ferreira. The final phase of the project was comprised of dance workshops, supervise and led by Jill Crovisier, where an emotional meeting allowed for artistic dialogue inviting the children to explore movement through music and dance.

This will be performed at an event on 19 December 2015 at the Rockhal. Doors will open at 17:30.
