Tickets went on sale at midday on Wednesday 23 November for the musical extravaganza Blue Man Group, which will be showing for the first time in Luxembourg over a number dazzling evenings of music, light, technology and dance starting 31 October 2017.

On Thursday, Den Atelier announced that, as all five shows had sold out within a number of days, they have added two more shows - a matinee at 17:00 and an evening show at 19:00, both on Sunday 5 November 2016.

Originating in New York City 25 years ago, the show has toured the globe on a “Megastar World Tour” playing to sell-out audiences in more than 20 countries.

Described as a blend of comedy, theatre, rock concert and dance party all rolled into one, the show, which without words transcends boundaries of language and culture, uses a hyperactive, highly-interactive cocktail to explore themes of innocence and wonder, self-consciousness, creativity, science and technology taking the audience deeply into their journeys in a unique party atmosphere.

The trio that created the phenomenon, Chris Wink, Matt Goldman and Phil Stanton, have also released five albums, supported Moby on tour, contributed to a number of film scores and advertising campaigns and picked up numerous awards as well as nominations for a Grammy Award and an International Emmy Award for Arts Programming.

Co-founder Chris Wink said, “When we first began creating performances centred on this innocent, curious character called Blue Man, we never dreamt where he would lead us. We are so honoured to be able to share our show with the people of Luxembourg and beyond. We believe the Blue Man’s universal message of joyful exuberance and euphoric celebration resonates within all of us.”

The show is the latest in a series of musical extravaganzas brought to Luxembourg by A-Promotions, and will perform six times over five days at the Grand Theatre de la Ville du Luxembourg, at 20:00 on each evening starting on Tuesday 31 October until Saturday November, when there will also be a 17:00 matinée show; and two shows on Sunday 5 November, at 17:00 and 19:00.

Tickets are €49 and €66 for adults and €39 and €56 for children under 12, from www.atelier.lu
