The Berliner Grundtheater e.V. (BGT) is to put on a production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Salle Robert Krieps in the Abbaye de Neumunster in Luxembourg-Grund and the Mierscher Kulutrhaus, in early December.

Adapted for the stage by June Lowery, Celebrate Christmas with a new staging of this Christmas classic! Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" virtually defines the modern Christmas. The magical tale of how the mean and miserly Mr Scrooge is transformed by the spirits of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Christmas Yet to Come, celebrates the message that generosity of spirit is essential all year round, but especially at Christmas time. This new energetic adaptation, by June Lowery, is an ensemble piece, with a varied cast of men, women and children all creating the sound and look of the Victorian Christmas setting. Live music will reflect the musical imagery of the original story - which is divided into "Staves" or verses – to bring alive the magic of this much-loved favourite.
