From 16 to 18 October 2015, Neimënster and Jazz in Luxembourg (JAIL) will be holding a jazz-filled weekend with its Autumn Leaves Jazz Festival.

The Festival will be comprised of nine concerts over three days featurings artists from the local and international music scene.

The Festival will be kicked off at 20:00 on Friday 16 October 2015, with the quartet of German drummer and composer Jens Duppe who will be perfoming his new album Anima. The compositions reflect the rich musical experience of the drummer, who is originally from Cologne and has previously shared stages with big jazz names such as Maria Schneider, Kenny Werner and Albert Mangelsdorff.

The second concert of the evening will be provided by the piano-clarinet-drums trio, Georg Ruby, Michel Pilz and Daniel D-Flat Weber, renowned for their jazz talent in the Grand Duchy. The German pianist and composer and the well-known Luxembourgish clarinetistare recognised as major European improvised jazz specialists. Saar drummer Daniel Weber has been exploring the Swiss improvised jazz scene during his studies in Bern. The trio has been together since 2007 and will be presenting new album 'Rimbaud #4'.

The following day, Saturday 17 October 2015, will feature three sepratae performances, starting with Polish singer Grzegorz Karnas and his Karnas Formula project. Another Polish jazz aficionado, Wlodek Pawlik, will follow his lead and take to the stage from 20:30 with his group. Wlodek Pawlik will be performing his new album 'America' as well as a few songs of 'Night in Calisia', the album which earned him a Grammy Award in 2014.

Saturday evening will be concluded with an unexpected artist of the festival, Paco Renteria, who has often been compared to Paco de Lucía as one of the most influential Mexican guitarists and composers. His eclectic style incorporates Latin rhythms and rock influences, progressive jazz, Afrikaans and gypsy-flamenco. He has performed internationally and gained recognisition for his film scores, including the El Mariachi original music, the main theme of the film 'Desperado'.

Sunday 18 October 2015 will begin early at 10:30 with a jazz-theme puppet show for children aged 4 to 9, performed by Karine Kayser and the jazz quartet Bremer Stadtmusikanten. This will be followed by the trditional Apéro's Jazz which this time will feature Perhaps Contraption, a fanfare drawing inspiration from pop art, progressive rock and which comprises an interactive show of vocal harmonies, choreographies and surprising rhythms.

Another highly-anticipated feature will arrive in the form of Icelandic saxophonist Sigurdur Flosason, who will be joined on stage at 14:30 by quartet 'Luxembourg', comprised of pianist George Letellier, bassist Marc Demuth and drummer Jeff Herr.

The Festival will be wrapped up with German quintet Underkarl, unleashing their post-modern jazz, bebop and stakkato through album 'Homo Ludens'.
