Den Atelier, the organisers of the Rock-a-Field open-air music festival on the week-end of 9 - 10 July have announced additional bands that will be performing at the Roeser venue.

With only four months to go the line-up for the two day festival is now almost complete with 18 acts secured. In addition to the bands announced on 19 January (American alternative rock band Pixies; German hip-hop/electro group Deichkind; alternative rockers The 1975; and Sheffield-born Kerrang!; Award winners Bring Me the Horizon), a number of other bands are now known. The genres not only boast Rock, Electro and Alternative Grooves, but have expanded to include HipHop and serious Gipsy Music.

Joining them on stage are Steve Aoki, Patrov Stelar, Vitalic, Austinn, When ‘Airy met Fairy, De Läbbel Session, Tyler, the Creator, Puggy, Ghinzu, Gogol Bordello, Bilderbuch, Tuys, Tommek and Freshdax, with others still to be announced.

As usual the Rock-a-Field concert offers a three night camping experience for those with tickets. But new this year is the special Rock-a-Field Warm-Up Event on the camping grounds on Friday 8 July, especially reserved for the campers.

As in previous years the UEFA European Cup Final will be broadcast on the big public viewing screen.

After receiving positive feedback on changes made to the festival in 2015, the Rock-a-Field team has stated that it has made some improvements to the quality and feel of the event. This means there will be an even more diversified Food Village, a bigger space with chill-out lounges for the audience, a new central stage called "The Beach" which will be dedicated to the local HipHop scene.

A 2-day festival ticket pass is €85 and a 2-day festival pass with 3-day camping is €190.
