The annual World MeYouZik festival organised by the Luxembourg Tourist Office (LCTO) is being held this Saturday 16 July 2016 from 13:30 until 01:30 outdoors in the centre of Luxembourg city.

The festival will have 50 musicians from around the world performing on three different outdoor stages. The headliners Shantel & Bucovina Orkestar, Soweto Soul and Tritha Electric will all be performing on the Lion Stage on Place Guillaume II. On the Holy Ghost Stage on Rue du St-Esprit there will be electronic music, whereas the Clairefontaine Stage will host other world music.

Entry to the festival is free to the public. There will be MeYouVillage for all the NGOS and associations that helped organise the festival, as well as a culinary village. The outdoor food catering service will make use of recycling containers that are environmentally friendly.

MeYouZik aims to promote the discovery of music from all horizons. It calls for a musical journey of new sounds, promotes the encounter of different cultures and is testimony of a cosmopolitan city open to the world. This festival aims to add a touch of friendliness, be open mind and add a festive dose of craziness to the reality we live in every day. The World MeYouZik festival is part of the "Summer in the City" programme that the Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) runs in the capital of Luxembourg throughout the summer. The programme consists of various music festivals, concerts, street art and other free outdoor events.
