The 13th annual Festival Saveurs & Légendes at the Casino2000 in Mondorf-les-Bains has concluded late on Saturday evening after 200+ artists had performed 50+ concerts over 3 days in front of 7,000+ spectators.
Like a live jukebox, the festival included more than 30 tribute concerts that have marked the history of music - Scorpions, Guns N'Roses, Madonna, The Beatles, Simple Minds, Queen ... not to mention the tribute to Jimi Hendrix too... And the event included a magnificent concert featuring DSL Dire Straits Legacy, the original musicians of Dire Straits... And the group Imagination fronted by their lead singer / leader Leee John. Within two minutes, all the spectators were standing to dance on the flagship titles of the 80s: Just an illusion, Music & Lights, Body Talk ... the finest way to close the festival!
The Guardians for Alanis Morissette won two prizes in the competition which was restricted to amateur tribute bands / artists - they won both the Jury Prize and the Dolympiades Prize
Lords of Rock were presernted with a special prize for their performance in which they paid tribute to the music of AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix, Queen, Guns N’ Roses,Motorhead, Aerosmith…
And the group Italao was also presented with a prize.
