The Musée Européen Schengen will be closed for 2-3 months while repair work is carried out following damage caused by a storm last week.

The ceiling of the museum collapsed under the weight of water that had seeped in, meaning that the free-entry museum has closed its doors. The various diaply cabinets inside containing exhibits from passports and customs hats to photographs and signed documents, have all been moved to safety while the repair work is carried out.

The work is expected to take 2-3 months.
